LAGOS STATE, NIGERIA

Lagos state was the former capital of Nigeria during this period Lagos is been administered by the Federal Government, with Ikeja, Agege, Mushin, Ikorodu, Epe and Badagry as part of the then Western Region. Created by Decree No. 14 of 1967 through which Nigeria was restructured into 12 states. The states lies in the South-West of Nigeria bounded with Ogun state in the North and East, in the West by Republic of Benin while the Atlantic Ocean. With Ikeja as the capital and a population of over 10,000 000 about 787sq. kilometers out of its 3,577 sq. kilometers as lagoon and creeks.
